Hydro-Excavation
View or Print Brochure
Hydro-Excavation is a non-destructive process which combines pressurized water with a high flow of moving air to simultaneously excavate and evacuate soil at a controlled rate. Basically, this system cuts through the soil and breaks it up. The soil and water slurry are transmitted by a vacuum to a debris tank. This process allows for a quick, clean and precise excavation requiring less backfill, less restoration and less environmental impact than conventional digging methods.
Hydro-Excavation is the safest, most efficient method of exposing underground utilities. Using Hydro-Excavation avoids damage to underground pipes, lines and cables and the expenses that come along with causing damage to these underground infrastructures. The costs associated with damage to underground utilities can be enormous. Consider the cost of underground utility repair, downtime, repair of equipment and medical costs from workers being insured added to insurance rate increases or refusal, litigation and environmental clean-up.
